  23. You did everything right, up to the moment when you selected the 
  24. atributes question. Imagine will make an axis the parent object of the 
  25. text you created in the spline editor. The attributes you created are 
  26. only applied to the parent of the group. Since an Axis hase no faces- 
  27. you get no colors. The best thing to do is to, in the Pick Object mode 
  28. put attributes on one of the objects (the axis would be best). After this 
  29. is done, select all the other objects(letters). To do this make sure the 
  30. original object is picked, then while holding down the left shift key, 
  31. pic all the other objects. (hint set pick mode to box and encircle them). 
  32. With alll the objects picked choose the menu function "Apply". Im not 
  33. sire off hand which menu this is under so you'll have to look. This will 
  34. appply the attributes of the first object picked to all the other objects 
  35. you subsequantly picked.
